What is Incognito / private mode?
A browser mode that doesn't save your history or cookies on your own device — and nothing more.
It is useful on shared computers, but it does not hide your activity from websites, your internet provider, your employer, or your school, and it does not make you anonymous. For real privacy gains, use tracking protection, a private search engine, or the Tor Browser.
